Dr. Michael Callahan is native of Franklin County. He graduated from the Franklin County High School in 1979, and received his undergraduate degree from the university of Georgia in 1984. After receiving his DMD degree from the Medical College of Georgia now known as Georgia Regents University, in 1990 he completed a GPR residency in hospital dentistry at the Medical College.
He is current member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation and is trained in Invisalign orthodontics, Lumineers, Cosmetic Restorations, Laser and Implant dentistry.
Dr. Callahan has over 20 years of experience in advanced comprehensive dentistry and training; and currently ranks as a clinical instructor at the Medical College.
He is also a member of the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce and served as vice president of Leadership Franklin, active member of Franklin County Rotary Club, Foundation Board Member of North Ga. Tech, and is excited about the future of Franklin County.
Dr. Callahan is married to the former Libby Owen of Eastanollee. Libby is a wonderful homemaker and enjoys collecting I Love Lucy memorabilia. They enjoying traveling and time together with their 6 grandchildren.
